Before I go out for this night walk in order to arrive home, I’m going to leave you with a little something.
I wonder if they play this at a wedding. Me for one, would love to see the bride dance on this right here. Just me? Ow, OK.
These three white guys right here, Mike D, MCA, and Ad-Rock have made a huge impact on the upbringing of hip-hop. They are one of the longest hip-hop acts in history as they’ve been a part of this industry ever since 1979 up until this day – a new album is under development (Hot Sauce Committee) and was supposed to be released in late ’09 but has been delayed due to the bad news that struck the group: MCA’s cancer diagnosis. Hopefully he’ll make a quick recovery after the undergone surgery last year and that album will see the light of day sooner than later.
I’ve been waiting for Sadistik’s new album ever since I heard his debut back in ’08 and it finally arrived, Sadistik and Kid Called Computer have teamed up to release the incredibly dope EP The Art Of Dying. Having heard The Balancing Act over 50 times in its entirety (and I’m not kidding) I knew what to expect from the new release. The problem was that I kind of feared listening to it because I knew he would express feelings which I’m currently going through (as he did so well on the previous album) and was not ready for hearing just yet. So after having the album on my hard drive for about 2 days (obviously would have bought it, but I do believe it won’t be shipped way over here and I don’t trust local customs) I finally got the courage and sat my ass down to listen to it through my headphones, for a better feel. And since then, I’ve listened to it countless times now and each time it shatters my soul into oblivion, deepening the gauge with every listen…I love it! It’s exactly what I was expecting and he definitely outdid himself. Great job by Kid Called Computer on the production as well.
So I missed yet another Friday post. I apologize again, but I’m sure you’ll forgive me, as I share with you the new Atmosphere track which they’ve released for they’re upcoming To All My Friends Tour. Ah man, I wish I had the chance to see these guys perform live…
